Random January

Cooper was all dressed up to go outside in the snow... too bad he was out there for maybe two minutes!!  But, dang he is soooo cute in this pic!!

We took the picture and came back inside.  He didn't like the wet snow on his face

Random bath picture... it looks like he is saying, "Hey Dad, watch where your hands are!!"

Happy boy after his shots... you can see his two bandaids on his left leg... he also has one on his right leg!

Not so happy after having blood drawn from his arm.  Poor guy! They didn't take much, and he screamed the most when they straightened his arm to find the vain.  He only got a tiny bruise.

So, January basically flew by.  I spend almost two weeks down in the desert with my grandparents to avoid the snow and power-outages.  We had a nice time down there, and I think Cooper being there helped my grandparents deal with the loss of Kacee (she was a little over 15 when she passed away, which was really old for a big dog!)  Andy came down for a few days and we had a little mini vacation I guess you could call it.
It snowed a lot up here in the mountains for sure!!  I didn't have to shovel at all!! WOOOOHOOOO!!!  That is pretty much the first time ever!  Usually I can depend on it snowing when Andy is working, so I get to shovel all by my lonesome!  But, I am really thankful he stayed at home the days he did to keep watch over both houses!  Too bad he can't be in two places at once!
As for Cooper.... he is well.  We have to see a specialist in a few days about his poo...or should I say lack there of?!?! Poor guy can't seem to poo by himself.  I had to give him suppositories and those suck!  I feel horrible for him having something shoved up there that shouldn't be.  The good thing about the whole situation is that he doesn't act like he is in pain at all.  He continues to eat, sleep and play normally.  When he does poo it isn't hard at all.  He puzzled the pediatrician for sure!  With that being said, Cooper saw his Dr. three times in a week.  UGH!!  Twice for lack of poo and once for his FOUR MONTH checkup.  I cannot believe he is four months!!  He weighed 9.4 oz and is 23 inches long... so he is on the very small side (under 5th percentile) but he is normal otherwise!!  We were definately blessed with a GREAT kid!

He was going for his mouth and totally missed!!

Smiley boy

He started wanting to hold his own bottle.  He will probably be able to do it the end of this week!

He loves his sock doggy from Aunty Lisa!!

Yay Exersaucer time!!  He is a bit concerned, but I think he will start to enjoy it soon (hopefully!!)

Skating

So, the last time I skated was December 11, 2008.  I REALLY missed skating this summer when I was pregnant!!  I didn't set foot on the ice the WHOLE time I was pregnant.  That was hard.  My goal was to at least go practice and skate around before the year marked my last day on the ice.  Turns out I got offered a few jobs before that mark.  So, I skated pairs on real ice and plastic ice BEFORE Dec 11, 2009!!!  YAY!!  I am so happy to have had the opportunity to do the events I did.  It made me happy and worthy.  I was however a bit weak... I didn't/don't have the muscles that I used to.  I guess 11 months off does that to you.  But, I didn't have to do anything hard, so all's good!!

This was opening number at Knott's.  I had such a great time skating at Knott's!  I started my professional career at Knott's in 1999, so to be there ten years later was the icing on my cake!!!

The shopping number... I got to skate with Snoopy!

Elves!!! I thought this number would be the hardest for me to remember, but turns out it wasn't.  I think it was because I had so much fun doing it!

This was at the Kia Christmas Party in Irvine.  The surface was plastic, so it was a little bit of a challenge... but I did not eat it, so I was happy and consider it a success!

This was at Pershing Square in Downtown Los Angeles.  We were taping for Univision at 6am!  My mom and I left the mtn at 330am, skated at Pershing Square (first time back on the ice since I came back from Europe in 2008), then skated in Culver City to practice, the went to Knott's for my Aunt's b-day, and then home.... it was a looooong day! But fun none the less!

More Christmas pics

Christmas morning!

Cooper's Blessing day... I had to get the sweater vest!

Ohhh, what did Santa get Cooper? An Exersaucer!!

Soooo many toys and cool clothes! He is very loved!

2009 Christmas time photos

We had Strebel Christmas at our house... bring on the fun! Sam, Brittney and James fly in from Lubbock.  Laura and James stayed with us a few days, in from Vegas.  Lisa got a few days off of work and came up from the O.C.  Hans, Sonali and Cindy all had work off too!! (of course for this Christmas miracle to happen, we celebrated the day AFTER Christmas... but the babies didn't know, so it was all good!!)

My family, Stacey, Valerie, and David (Kronk and Mochi too!)

Us, minus Kronk

Oh, there he is!!!

You may ask why I post this... look behind Cooper's head.  That is HALLE BERRY and her handsome boytoy!

Once again, Christmas was wonderful.... (especially because we got to celebrate it twice with lots of people!) Cooper is so spoiled and he doesn't even know it!!  I will post the pics in the next one because I can't figure out how to post more then 5 pics at a time.  Anyhow, good times, good times!!

2010!!

Andy and Cooper in the Toon Town fire engine!

Goofy and Fam.... a little appropriate!
We had to get a picture of us and Cooper at the wishing well because that is where we got engaged! Aww, the circle of life!
Aunty Lisa came for a bit, and she bought us yummy treats!!
Cooper's first BIG snowfall... it was cold for sure!
Daddy and Cooper... one of my favorite pictures!

Happy New Year!!! (a few days late).  I realized it has been a while since I have posted something. Opps, I am slacking!  All though, I must say that we had a very busy and exciting December... filled with family, friends, food, and fun!  There were of course many firsts.  Cooper's first Christmas Eve, Christmas, visit from Santa, Disneyland visit, big family gatherings.... craziness~  We got to meet my nephew James for the first time!!!  He is such a cutie, and boy did he try to make friends with Cooper!!  He talked to him, shook his hands, goobered his hands, pat his head.... and Cooper just looked at James like he was crazy.  It was pretty funny!  Next time they see each other, I am sure there will be real conversing and chasing each other around the house.  It will be madness for Brittney and me no doubt!!!  I can't wait!!
